Destiny Coleman
Des is a Baltimore native raised in East Baltimore and currently serves as Events & Operations Manager at the Baltimore Children & Youth Fund (BCYF), where she leads large-scale community initiatives, operational systems, and cross-sector partnerships that support youth and families across the city. With a career rooted in community impact, strategic planning, and operational excellence, Destiny brings deep experience across nonprofit leadership, procurement planning, and youth program development—having previously served as a Client Success Manager, Strategic Planning and Community Engagement Consultant, and Procurement Planning Officer. Her work has been industry recognized, including being named a 2025 SECU Truth Award recipient for community-centered programming and a Baltimore Corps Innovation Award winner for program design and implementation.
This work is deeply personal to her as the daughter of a formerly incarcerated parent and a member of a family impacted by the justice system, she understands firsthand the barriers faced by justice-impacted individuals and their loved ones. Supported by certifications in Project Management, Scrum, Crisis Prevention, MANDT and behavioral health,Destiny leads with accountability and innovation, building sustainable pathways for youth, justice-impacted individuals and communities historically excluded from opportunity.

Jamal Jones
Jamal Jones is a seasoned nonprofit executive and youth advocate with more than 15 years of experience advancing equity and opportunity in Baltimore. His work centers on dismantling systemic barriers impacting underserved communities—particularly recidivism, educational inequity, and access to economic mobility—and he has successfully raised over $7.5 million to support youth-focused mentorship, leadership development, and workforce training initiatives. As Executive Director of the Baltimore Algebra Project, Jamal oversees a $500,000 annual budget and leads a nationally recognized, youth-driven model that positions young people as educators, organizers, and change agents through a blend of education and advocacy. Known for his strategic vision and hands-on mentorship, Jamal builds strong partnerships with funders, schools, and community stakeholders while creating sustainable pathways that strengthen communities, reduce recidivism, and equip youth to lead with confidence.

Layla Thompson
Layla Thompson (16) is a Manager-in-Training Program graduate of The Summer Social, where she completed a full summer serving as Customer Experience Manager-in-Training. In this role, Layla contributed to a 154% increase in sales by strengthening brand loyalty through the implementation of customer loyalty cards and youth-driven engagement strategies. A competitive dancer and model, Layla brings creativity and confidence to her leadership and is currently launching her own lip gloss line. She hopes to return to The Summer Social in Summer 2026 as an Operations Manager and plans to obtain her Food Service Manager Certification, remaining dedicated to centering youth voice and developing creative, authentic ways to engage her peers.

Kirk Gaddy Jr
Kirk Gaddy Jr. is a seasoned urban educator and youth advocate with over six years of experience in both Catholic and public school settings. He currently serves as a Religion III Teacher and Associate Athletic Director at Saint Frances Academy, his alma mater, where he plays a critical role in shaping students’ academic growth, character development, and athletic leadership. Beyond the classroom, Mr. Gaddy is deeply committed to mentorship and community engagement through his work with the MTM Foundation and the Dr. Kirk P. Gaddy Youth Center, supporting youth development and leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Baltimore and maintains certifications in Advanced Youth Development and through Family League. An active community leader, Mr. Gaddy is a proud member of Historic Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, and serves on the community service board of the Delta Lambda Chapter, reflecting his dedication to service, education, and positive youth outcomes.

Jennifer Hrabowski
Jennifer is a distinguished healthcare executive and community leader with more than 25 years of experience, having built a career with Johns Hopkins Medicine and currently serving with Emory Healthcare in Atlanta. She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and Johns Hopkins University, reflecting a deep commitment to excellence and leadership in healthcare. Jennifer’s lifelong dedication to service is demonstrated through extensive involvement with organizations including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Ivy Community Foundation, United Way, Dress for Success Atlanta, Leadership Sandy Springs, and international medical missions providing care to underserved communities since 2004. Her leadership has been widely recognized, including being named a Top 100 Under 50 Executive & Emerging Leader by Diversity MBA Magazine (2023), one of the Atlanta Business League’s 100 Women of Influence (2020), and a recipient of the MLK Community Service Award from Johns Hopkins Medicine (2013). She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Chapter of the Gift of Adoption Fund and Atlanta GLOW (Growing Leadership of Women), bringing a values-driven, equity-centered approach to governance and community impact.

Zola Rowlette
Delores “Zola” Rowlette is a respected East Baltimore native, spiritual counselor, and rehabilitation advocate with more than 40 years of experience advancing person-centered, community-based program development. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Morgan State University, along with an Associate’s degree in Gerontology, and is trained as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Zola maintains licensure and certifications as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Certified Therapeutic Community Trainer, Certified Virtues Project Facilitator, and consultant in addiction, gambling, and HIV counseling. Her work spans mental health, foster care, sexual trauma, substance use, and reentry support for formerly incarcerated individuals, reflecting a deep commitment to equitable rehabilitation and prevention. In semi-retirement, she continues to serve the community as a freelance spiritual counselor and residential leader in the Belair-Edison community and with Northeast Leaders, grounded in the belief that purpose and healing are foundational to true community revitalization.
Dr. Kim evans
Dr. Evans is a distinguished educator, administrator, and lifelong advocate for children and learning, bringing more than 50 years of experience in education and leadership across the Baltimore region. Her academic background includes degrees in Special Education, Reading, Educational Leadership, and Pharmacy, reflecting a deep and enduring commitment to lifelong learning—most notably earning a Master’s degree in Pharmacy at the age of 69. Now in semi-retirement, Dr. Evans continues to serve the field as an education consultant and daily intervention teacher, supporting teacher development, leadership coaching, curriculum design, and reading instruction while strengthening workforce development efforts. She currently serves on multiple community-based boards, including the Frankford Improvement Association, and brings a values-driven approach rooted in the belief that education is the key to opportunity and that purposeful leadership leaves a lasting, positive legacy.
